1. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS
By accessing or using the Jet Set Write website (the “Site”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, please do not use the Site. These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access the Site.
2. ABOUT JET SET WRITE
The Site is owned and operated by Jet Set Write and its parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, successors, and assigns (collectively, “Jet Set Write,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). The Site is provided for informational and marketing purposes only, including information about writing retreats and related educational and creative programming.
3. INFORMATIONAL AND EDUCATIONAL PURPOSE ONLY
The Site and all content on it are provided solely for general informational, marketing, and educational purposes. Nothing on this Site constitutes or should be construed as legal advice, medical advice, mental health or therapeutic guidance, financial advice, immigration advice, or any other professional advisory service. Use of the Site does not create any professional-client relationship of any kind between you and Jet Set Write.
Jet Set Write’s retreats are educational and creative in nature only. Participation in any retreat does not constitute therapy, counseling, legal representation, financial planning, or any licensed professional service.
4. NO PAYMENT PROCESSING ON THIS SITE
Jet Set Write does not accept or process any payments directly through this Site. No financial transactions, purchases, or registrations requiring payment are completed on or through the Site. Any payment arrangements for retreats or programs are handled separately and entirely outside of this Site. Your use of any third-party payment service (e.g., Venmo, Zelle, PayPal, or any other platform) is governed solely by that platform’s own terms and policies. Jet Set Write is not responsible for any third-party payment platforms or transactions conducted through them.
5. NEWSLETTER SIGN-UPS AND CONTACT/INQUIRY FORMS
(i) Newsletter:Â The Site may offer the ability to sign up for a newsletter or other communications from Jet Set Write. By subscribing, you consent to receive emails and other communications from us. You may unsubscribe at any time by following the opt-out instructions included in any email communication or by contacting us at [email protected].
 (ii) Contact and Inquiry Forms: The Site may include contact or inquiry forms that allow you to submit questions, requests, or information to Jet Set Write. By submitting a form, you represent that all information you provide is accurate and that you have the right to submit it. Submission of a contact or inquiry form does not create a contractual obligation, guarantee a response, or establish any professional relationship.
 (iii) Accuracy of Information:
You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information when using any forms or sign-up features on the Site.
6. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
(i) Ownership: All content on the Site — including but not limited to text, images, graphics, logos, photographs, audio, video, design, and other materials — is owned by or licensed to Jet Set Write and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws, including United States copyright and trademark laws.
(ii) Limited License:Â You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and view the Site for your personal, non-commercial informational purposes only. No other use is permitted without our prior written consent.
(iii) Prohibited Uses:Â Without the prior written consent of Jet Set Write, you may not:
- Copy, reproduce, distribute, republish, display, perform, or transmit any content from the Site;
- Modify, create derivative works from, or otherwise exploit any content from the Site;
- Use any content from the Site for any commercial purpose;
- Scrape, crawl, index, or otherwise collect content from the Site using automated tools, bots, spiders, scripts, or similar technologies, including for the purpose of training, fine-tuning, or developing artificial intelligence, machine learning, or large language models;
- Use any content from the Site to develop or improve any competing product or service;
- Frame, mirror, or deep-link to any portion of the Site without our prior written consent.
(iv) Trademarks:Â “Jet Set Write” and associated logos and marks are trademarks of Jet Set Write. Nothing on the Site grants any right to use these marks without our express written permission.
7. USER CONDUCT
By using the Site, you agree that you will not:
- Use the Site for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms;
- Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information through any form on the Site;
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Site or any systems or networks connected to the Site;
- Interfere with or disrupt the operation of the Site;
- Use the Site to harass, threaten, defame, or harm any person;
- Transmit any viruses, malware, or other harmful code through the Site;
- Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.
8. NON-DISCRIMINATION AND ANTI-HARASSMENT
Jet Set Write is committed to providing an inclusive, respectful, and welcoming experience for all users of this Site and all participants in its retreats and programs, regardless of race, color, ethnicity, national origin, immigration status, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, age, disability, marital status, pregnancy, socioeconomic status, or any other characteristic protected by applicable law.
(i) Site Use:Â Harassment, discriminatory conduct, or abusive behavior directed at Jet Set Write staff or other users in connection with the Site will not be tolerated. Jet Set Write reserves the right to block or terminate access to the Site for any person who engages in such conduct.
(ii) Retreats and Programs: All retreat participants and attendees are expected to treat fellow participants, instructors, facilitators, and staff with respect and dignity. Conduct that is harassing, discriminatory, threatening, or abusive — whether in person, online, or otherwise in connection with a Jet Set Write program — may result in immediate removal from the program without refund. Jet Set Write reserves the right to make all determinations regarding conduct in its sole discretion.
9. NO GUARANTEE OF RESULTS
Jet Set Write makes no representations or warranties regarding any outcomes from attending its retreats or programs. Participation does not guarantee any creative, professional, or career result, including without limitation publication of any work, interest from literary agents or publishers, career advancement, or any other outcome.
10. THIRD-PARTY LINKS AND CONTENT
The Site may contain links to third-party websites or resources for your convenience and reference. Jet Set Write does not control such third-party sites and is not responsible for their content, accuracy, privacy practices, or availability. The inclusion of any link does not imply endorsement by Jet Set Write. Your use of any third-party site is at your own risk and is governed by that site’s own terms and policies.
11. ANALYTICS AND TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES
The Site may use third-party analytics tools, cookies, pixel tags, and similar tracking technologies to help us understand how visitors use the Site, improve Site functionality, and inform our communications. Information collected through these tools may include your IP address, browser type, pages visited, and other usage data. 12. DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES
The site and all content, features, and services provided through it are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. jet set write does not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of viruses or other harmful components. jet set write does not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of any information on the site.
13. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, jet set write and its parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, officers, directors, employees, agents, licensors, and successors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, loss of data, loss of goodwill, or business interruption, arising out of or in connection with your use of or inability to use the site, even if jet set write has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
In no event shall jet set write’s total cumulative liability to you for all claims arising out of or relating to these terms or your use of the site exceed one hundred dollars ($100.00).
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitation of liability for incidental or consequential damages, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you.
14. INDEMNIFICATION
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Jet Set Write and its parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, officers, directors, employees, agents, licensors, and successors from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or relating to: (a) your use of or access to the Site; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any applicable law or regulation; or (d) any content or information you submit through the Site.
15. DISPUTE RESOLUTION
(i) Informal Resolution:Â Before initiating any formal dispute resolution process, you agree to contact Jet Set Write at [email protected] and attempt to resolve any dispute informally. Jet Set Write will attempt to resolve the dispute informally by contacting you via email. If a dispute is not resolved within thirty (30) days of the initial notice, either party may proceed to mediation as described below.
(ii) Mediation:Â Prior to initiating arbitration, the parties agree to participate in good-faith mediation administered by a mutually agreed-upon mediator in Los Angeles, California. Each party shall bear its own attorneys’ fees, costs, and expenses in connection with mediation. The mediator’s fees shall be split equally between the parties. Mediation is a prerequisite to arbitration, and neither party may file for arbitration until mediation has been completed or formally declared at an impasse.
(iii) Binding Confidential Arbitration:Â If mediation does not resolve the dispute, any and all claims, disputes, or controversies arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the Site shall be resolved exclusively by final and binding confidential arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (“AAA”) under its then-current Consumer Arbitration Rules (or Commercial Arbitration Rules as applicable), except as modified herein. Confidentiality applies to the parties as well as the arbitrator and AAA. The arbitration shall be conducted by a single arbitrator in Los Angeles, California. Each party shall bear its own attorneys’ fees, costs, and expenses in connection with the arbitration, and the parties shall split AAA administrative fees and arbitrator compensation equally, unless applicable law or AAA rules require otherwise. The arbitrator’s award shall be final and binding and may be entered as a judgment in any court of competent jurisdiction.
(iv) Waiver of Class Actions: To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, you and jet set write agree that all claims shall be brought solely in your or jet set write’s individual capacity, and not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class, collective, consolidated, or representative proceeding. the arbitrator may not consolidate more than one person’s claims and may not preside over any form of representative or class proceeding.
(v) Exceptions:Â Notwithstanding the foregoing, either party may seek emergency injunctive or other equitable relief in a court of competent jurisdiction to protect intellectual property rights or prevent irreparable harm pending the outcome of arbitration.
16. GOVERNING LAW AND VENUE
These Terms and any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms or the Site shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law principles. For any matter not subject to arbitration under these Terms, the parties consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California.
17. FUTURE FEATURES
The Site may in the future offer additional features, including but not limited to blog content, community forums, or other interactive elements. If and when such features are introduced, these Terms may be updated accordingly, and your continued use of the Site following any such update constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
18. MODIFICATIONS TO THESE TERMS
Jet Set Write reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time in its sole discretion. Any changes will be posted to this page with an updated effective date. Your continued use of the Site after the posting of revised Terms constitutes your acceptance of those changes. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.
19. TERMINATION
Jet Set Write reserves the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Site at any time, for any reason or no reason, with or without notice, including for violations of these Terms. All provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including without limitation intellectual property provisions, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and dispute resolution provisions.
20. SEVERABILITY
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful, void, or unenforceable, that provision shall be deemed severable from the remaining provisions and shall not affect their validity and enforceability.
21. ENTIRE AGREEMENT
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Jet Set Write with respect to your use of the Site and supersede all prior and contemporaneous agreements, communications, and understandings relating to the same subject matter.
